Condolences were extended to the family and friends of Eily Griffin, Pat O’Rourke, Josie Vickers, Cecil Byrne, Shane Kinsella and Cathleen Scanlan on their recent deaths.
It was agreed by committee that due to the uncertainty from COVID we will not run the Get Into Golf programme in 2021. The committee also agreed to wait a few months before we decide on whether we enter the Granard Cup this year. All competition fees go to the charity and while it is a good cause the Club needs all the competition income it can get.
The Social Information night will take place this Thursday. A reminder will be sent out to all. Ciaran Doyle will chair the night and the following will speak on various matters; Lady Captain Clodagh, Lady Vice Captain Ilona, Clair Higgins, Louise D’Arcy, Tony McKeever, Pat Stapleton and Captain Aidan Doyle. All are encouraged to log in to the meeting.
The trees that were cut down on the side of the 1st hole were done by the residents of the apartments with the approval of the CoM.
The Junior sub-committee is presently getting back the safe-guarding forms from the Juniors so that they are ready once golf resumes.
Louise is ready to start her Fitness class this Wednesday and it will continue on Thursdays for 3 more weeks.
Ilona Madden thanked Lady Captain for putting together the video for International Women’s Day.
It was suggested that once competition golf resumes we use members sponsorship first and give sponsors the choice of reduced sponsorship this year.
