Fellow Members,

We are sure that you are all looking forward to the re-opening of our golf course on Monday 18th next as we are. Attached to this email is the Protocol document issued by the GUI/ILGU (Click to view), which sets out the terms under which we can play safely. All members should read this document to understand the strict guidelines we must operate against. Members with colds or any symptoms of COVID-19 must stay away from the golf course/clubhouse. It should be noted that the Government continues to monitor the situation closely and has not ruled out the reintroduction of restrictions which could see golf clubs closed once again if the Protocol is not followed. Members should be aware that these restrictions are not going to last forever, but must live within them and be patient while they are in place. We all want to get back to normal as soon as possible, but this will be a gradual process and will be reliant on golf clubs and golfers observing this Protocol.

In order to ensure Golf is available to all members we are also introducing additional measures:
• The timesheet will be set up at 14 minute intervals to facilitate play in 3 balls from May 18th. All golf must be booked on BRS with the timesheet running from 8.00 a.m., Monday to Friday, and 7.00am on Saturday & Sunday to 8.00pm each day. No play is allowed outside these times.
• Timesheet Booking will be available at 6.00pm on Thursdays, commencing May 14th, for the week ahead i.e. Monday to Sunday.
• All play must start on 1st hole. No moving from one hole to another out of sequence.
• Every member can book 3 tee times per week, 2 times during the week and one tee time on Saturday/Sunday or 3 tee times between Monday & Friday.( i.e. 5 day member or full) If there are vacancies on the time sheet from 8.00am on the day, a member may book to play that day without impacting their ability to book 3 tee times in a week. The player whose name is on the timesheet must play, No Guest bookings are allowed. This is necessary to comply with Tracing in the event of a confirmed case of COVID19.
• Tee times will be available for 18 Holes, 9 Holes and 4 holes as the day progresses but the course must be vacated by dusk and the gates to the Carpark will be locked at 9.30pm sharp.
• Players should travel separately to the club unless accompanied by a member of the same household. They should arrive no SOONER than 15 minutes before their tee time.
• All practice facilities are closed for this Phase i.e. Practice ground, practice driving net & putting green.
• Golf equipment can be retrieved from Locker rooms but must be taken home after your first round until this restriction is lifted. Golf equipment must not be stored in the Locker rooms.
• Locker rooms will be open for Toilet Facilities only.
• If older members are not familiar with the BRS the Pro Shop staff / Office will book for you if you ring them. The course staff are busy preparing the course and are confident that it will be in peak condition for Monday 18th.

A sincere thank you to all members who adhered to the restricted access to the course during the closure. We want to thank you in advance for adhering to the protocols that are necessary to get us back playing casual golf and remaining to play Golf safely. The Clubhouse and Course will be monitored to ensure we are adhering to the Protocols as laid out by the GUI/ILGU.

If you observe any breach of the Protocol or have a query then please contact the Hon Sec by mail at honsec@wicklowgolfclub.ie with details of your query.
