St. Patrick’s Day Champagne Scramble & Greensomes

Champagne Scramble (17th March)

This Year's St.Patrick's Day competition will be a 4 person Champagne Scramble.

Competition is open to members and their guests, it will start from the first tee and the timesheet will be open on the BRS from 8pm on Monday 7th of March.

Cost is €7 for members and €15 for guests.

Rules of the competition:

Full course handicaps apply. Maximum course handicap allowance for men is 28 & 36 for ladies.

Each player drives off. Best drive is chosen and every player plays from that spot, finishing out the hole with their own ball.

3 drives minimum per person in 3 and 4-person teams.

2 scores to count on each hole, using the stableford scoring system.

The same rule applies to par 3s.

All 4 scores to count on the 18th hole.

Greensomes (18th March)

A Ladies & Men’s Open Greensomes Competition will take place on Friday 18th March.

Member’s Fee €6 per person – Member’s Guest €15 per person

Visitors €25 per person

Rules of the competition:

White Markers for Men & Red Markers for Ladies

Format is Greensomes Stableford - both players drive from each tee - select one of the tee shots & partner whose tee shot was not selected plays the next stroke - alternate shots until the ball is holed.

Course Handicap to determine the Playing Handicap

(60% of the Lower and 40% of the Higher Course Handicap)
