New General Manager - Jim Melody

As advised at the Club AGM in December 2021 we had made a commitment to recruit a General Manager for Wicklow Golf Club. Since then we have conducted a recruitment campaign for the role. We are now delighted to announce that we have identified an excellent candidate for the role and that person has accepted the position.

Our new General Manager is Jim Melody. Jim currently holds the position of General Manager for Woodbrook Golf Club. He has also worked in a similar role for Greystones Golf Club. Jim has over 20 years’ experience working in the Golf Industry and will bring a wealth of experience that will be of benefit to Wicklow Golf Club.

He has qualifications in Hotel Management, Turfgrass Management, Digital Marketing and Leadership & Innovation.

We are delighted that Jim has accepted the role and he will officially join Wicklow Golf Club in early August 2022. We hope that there will be an opportunity for members to meet Jim in advance of his official start date.
