Ladies Get Into Golf

 Ladies Get Into Golf 2020 will not take place due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Wicklow Golf Club has been running this programme since 2016 with the help of the ILGU and the CGI. This has been tremendously successful with many participants joining our active and social club.

We feel we have found the perfect start for all Beginner Golfers!!  You will receive 8 lessons with our PGA Head Professional, Louise D'Arcy.

Session 1: This is a 9 week programme running weekly starting in May. Week 5 consists of an on course session with our lady members (buddies). You can participate in either morning or evening lessons. Cost €100* 

Session 2: Ladies Get Into Golf commences in July for the remainder of year. Cost €200* 

What is involved:

  • On course activities in the form of team scrambles and grouped singles will take place every Tuesday for 6 weeks (Weather permitting). You may attend either the morning session starting at 11am or the evening session starting at 7pm.

  • Access to the practise area and the putting green.

  • Access to the course Monday-Friday subject to timesheet availability. 

  • Access to the course with a member at weekends after the competition timesheet.

  • Access to the online timesheet.

On course activities are conducted with a buddy in groups for 1-1.5 hours. Everyone will most likely play 4 holes. 

You can ask the buddy any questions you might have and they will guide you around the course.

Remember: Warm clothes, it gets quite cold on the golf course so bring an extra jumper or jacket.

Note: If the weather is unsuitable, the intended activity may be reduced to an outdoor or indoor putting session along with etiquette and general rules discussion (or just a drink and chat in the bar).
